How It Works

Yuko works by restructuring the protein bonds within the hair, targeting both the internal follicle and the outer shaft. This ensures that the hair is not only straightened but also smoothed and frizz-free. A specially formulated solution is applied and left on for 20 to 60 minutes, depending on your hair’s response. During this time, stylists perform regular elasticity checks to monitor progress.

Once ready, the solution is rinsed, and the hair is partially dried, leaving a touch of moisture before moving on to the most precise stage: flat-ironing in small sections to lock in the new structure. A neutraliser is then applied for around 5 minutes, followed by a final rinse and blow-dry.

Aftercare is Key

The 48 to 72 hours following your treatment are crucial. During this time, the shape of your hair sets permanently. To avoid unwanted kinks or bends, you must keep your hair straight and down — avoid ponytails, tucking behind ears, or using clips. Continued straightening during this period is encouraged to reinforce the smooth finish.
